  • Connect supply lines. Configure pump and discharges. Select foam system and lines
  • Program incidents, operator instructions, scenarios. Adjust burn-house dimensions and fireload.
  • Pump Trainer uses your sound card for radio calls, engine and primer sounds.
  • Save it all to disk. Mix and match panels and evolutions. Metric or English.
  • Set up a class. Pump Trainer has a student login option and stores performance records.
  • Easy-to-use menus, manual and on-line help.

Features Include:

  • Panel design by menu
  • Multiple intakes
  • Water hammer simulation
  • Compressed air foam systems

Pump Trainer Revision 4 makes full use of the 32-bit operating systems of Microsoft® Windows® NT, 95, 98 and 2000, greatly enhancing sound and graphics display, while resolving incompatibilities of 16-bit software with 32-bit operating systems that exist on some computers. Revision 4 will run with 32 MBytes RAM (memory), but the sound may be adversely affected. Windows 3.1 is no longer supported, as The Upgrade is a 32-bit application only. All Revision 3 files are compatible with Revision 4. Revision 3 will still operate after Revision 4 is installed. Microsoft® DirectX® is required.

DirectX: Pump Trainer 3 wav and MIDI sound has been converted to DirectSound, a component of DirectX. DirectX was created by Microsoft to enable fast graphics and quality sound. DirectX is downloadable (free) from the Microsoft website at www.microsoft.comdirectx. If you have purchased and installed computer games on your computer, it is likely that DirectX is already installed. For Windows NT users, service pack 6 (SP3 may be sufficient), when installed, also installs DirectX. For non-NT users, download the current DirectX version (now 8.0a) from Microsoft Home User Downloads. DirectX must be installed on your computer to make Pump Trainer Revision 4 sound work.

System Requirements:

Windows® 2000/XP/NT/ME/98/95 operating system for PC-compatible. 486 CPU minimum. 8 MB RAM. 10 MB hard disk space. Sound card recommended.

Operations of a Pumper Apparatus and pass their Operator's Test.

Loaded with tons of good study questions with interactive test taking!

This easy-to-use multimedia learning system is modern, electronic versions of IFSTA's classic printed study guides. They allow the individual student to proceed through the questions in any order, find out immediately whether their answer is right or wrong and be referred to the source for the correct answer, if necessary. Most questions are in the multiple-choice format that is utilized by civil service and certification examinations. The program also tracks the results of each session as a record of progress. Each time the student goes through the program, the questions are rearranged randomly so each session has a different look

The student can take tests  and then find the final score in order to improve in weak areas. Each incorrect answer has the page number listed for the Driver/Operator Handbook, where the student can find the correct answer. Each time a student goes through a set of questions they are totally randomized.
